Students are taking the ACT online.

The ACT was a free test provided to every junior across the state of Missouri. The test was taken during school hours on Wednesday April 19. This opportunity was given to give a free ACT to those who couldn’t afford one or provided another opportunity for those who could afford it.

“This is an exciting opportunity for our Missouri high school students,” Missouri Commissioner of Education Margie Vandeven said. “An ACT score is a way to help students, their families and our schools determine if our students are graduating ready for college and careers.”

The goal is to help the state become one of the top ten best education states in the United States.

This will be the third year that the free ACT was given to students and could be the last year depending on state budget. This was a good opportunity for students to get an opportunity to take the ACT and I hope they continue to do it for the next few years.
