Clothing:
Everyone wears clothes. That’s why they make such a great gift. If you know their style, a basic shirt you know they would like is a great last-minute option when you’re making a quick run to the mall. Accessories can also fall under this category, whether they wear hats or jewelry you can always find something. Thrift stores such as Plato’s Closet and Uptown Cheapskate are amazing places for fast, cute, and cheap clothing. All of which are great characteristics for a last minute gift.
Food:
Put any cooking or baking skills you might have to use this year for presents. Gifts don’t always have to be materialistic, sometimes a sweet treat or warm meal can be something to give this holiday season. Decorated cookies, gingerbread, or fruitcake are all examples of holiday desserts someone might appreciate.
Stuffed Animals:
Stuffed animals make cute and easy gifts. Jellycats and Squishmallows have become all the rage recently, but a regular brand stuffed animal works just fine too. The best part is they’re not just for children, teenagers have been collecting them too as of late.
An Experience
A unique gift that can’t be physically given is an experience. Something that’s special, unforgettable, and can’t be regifted. Taking them out on a day trip, paying for their spa day, or getting them tickets to a sporting event are all memorable gifts. These are arguably worth more than any store bought item.
Money:
If you’re so busy you can’t even make it to the store or find the time to shop online, your last option is money. No one is going to complain about receiving cash, even if it’s not a lot, at least you’re not empty-handed. Cash should be your last resort though, the thought put into a gift for someone is more important. Of course nobody is going to turn down a good $20.
With less than a week left until Christmas and Hanukkah, if you haven’t finished shopping yet you’re certainly running out of time to buy good gifts. Hopefully after all these ideas, you’ll be able to come up with something thoughtful and worthwhile for your cherished gift recipient.
