Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

Two chicken chains go head to head. Who will win the fight?

When it comes to choosing your favorite chicken chain, there is a flock of options to choose from. I will be comparing chicken strips, fries, and the signature sauce from Raising Cane’s and Chick-fil-A

Chick-fil-A:

When thinking about a good place to get chicken, most people will immediately think of Chick-fil-A. However, I don’t think it lives up to all the hype.

Chicken Strips: 7/10

The chicken strips from Chick-fil-A are good, not great. The breading isn’t super crispy and the only thing that saves it is being able to dip the chicken strip in Chick-fil-A Sauce.

Waffle Fries: 10/10

Fresh waffle fries from Chick-fil-A are my all time favorite. They are super flavorful and have just the right amount of salt. Not many fast food restaurants have waffle fries so it’s very unique.

Chick-fil-A Sauce: 8/10

Everytime I go to Chick-fil-A I ask for extra of their signature Chick-fil-A sauce. This sweet and smoky tasting sauce makes for the perfect dipping combination for chicken strips, nuggets, fries, and even to drizzle on the chicken sandwich.

Raising Cane’s:

Raising Cane’s is the underdog in this comparison. Chick-fil-A is definitely more popular with people, but Cane’s has a delicious menu and shouldn’t be counted out of your selection. Plus, the chicken strip meals also come with a piece of Texas toast.

Chicken strips: 10/10

Cane’s chicken strips are crispy and fried to golden perfection. The chicken is super tender and falls apart in your mouth with every bite.

Fries: 6/10

The only thing I don’t love at Cane’s are the fries. They are plain crinkle fries and can be soggy at times. Dipping them in Cane’s Sauce makes them way better, but the fries aren’t great just by themselves.

Cane’s Sauce: 15/10

My favorite thing about Cane’s is their Cane’s Sauce. Just like at Chick-fil-A, I always get extra Cane’s Sauce and still end up scraping the sides of the cup towards the end. While being similar to Chick-fil-A Sauce, Cane’s Sauce has a more tangy taste with some added pepper flavor that makes it craveable and delicious.

The Winner:

Overall, I think Cane’s is the winner winner chicken dinner of this battle. Even though their fries are lacking compared to Chick-fil-A, the chicken strips and Cane’s sauce make up for it and push it above its competitor.
