The story of Santa Claus dates back to the third century, continuing in 2023, there are many different ways to visit and take a picture with Santa, there being two major places in Springfield to attend.
Battlefield Mall Santa
The Santa at the Battlefield Mall is no stranger to the 417. The backdrop and the decorations are very well thought out and put together and you can see this Santa all the way until Christmas Eve! Unfortunately the pricing of these photos can really hurt your wallet. Pricing differs from the lowest price of $20.00 dollars all the way to the highest price of $75.00 dollars. However there are cheaper options for families to go see Santa.
Bass Pro Santa’s Wonderland
This magical wonderland is at the top of the best Santas list. One thing that makes this Santa photo different is that you get a free 4×6 photo with Santa. The area where they put Santa to take pictures is truly magical. Surrounded by fake snow, presents, and animals everywhere.
During your visit, families can mail their letter to Santa and receive free giveaways. Families can also enjoy the amazing aquariums and wildlife displays found in our Bass Pro shop.
Santa Paws
Even our four legged friends need to see Santa during the holiday season. A small local business called Fetch Pet Supplies and Gifts holds an annual picture day with Santa every year.
The cost is only $10.00 dollars and the funds go to a Spay and Neuter clinic, this year they raised $1,500.
A professional photographer takes the picture of your pet, while you and some workers try to get your animal’s attention. For me this is totally worth it because now you have a forever picture of your animal with Santa!
Family Santa
Having a family member dress up as Santa is traumatizing. If you are going to buy a Santa costume don’t get it from the dollar tree, actually put effort into buying an outfit that isn’t scary. Just take your kid to see Santa at a store and save them the trauma that would come into their life if you wore a Santa costume.
