Oh, prom is such a big deal, isn’t it? Here are some quick dos and don’ts!

       Do’s:

Plan ahead:  Get your tickets, outfit, and transportation sorted out early. Don’t forget if you are going to a restaurant, check if they have reservations so you  aren’t waiting forever to get a table.

Make an after Prom plan: Prom isn’t for everyone, so your group might not want to stay the whole time. Make a fan plan to do after you leave. Some ideas  might go get some ice cream or go to a little after party.

Be yourself: Wear something that makes you feel confident and comfortable. It might be a good idea to bring a change of clothes and shoes for when you leave the event.

Have a budget: Prom can get expensive, so keep track of your spending.

Be respectful: To your date, friends, teachers, and others at prom. You don’t want to ruin the event for others.

Take lots of photos: You’ll want to remember this night! Taking photos can be kept in a memories box for years to come.

    Don’ts:

Don’t overspend: You don’t need to break the bank to have a good time. Just hang out with your friends, that’s all you need to have a good time.

Don’t stress: Try to relax and enjoy the experience. It’s just one night of your life, there is no need to stress about prom.

Don’t panic: I know it’s easier said than done, but just remember that prom is supposed to be fun! Don’t freak out about your date, your plans or your dress. If you plan things early enough, it should go smoothly.

Don’t feel pressured: To conform to any prom “norms” that don’t feel right to you.

Don’t forget to eat: It’s a long evening, so make sure you have enough energy. You don’t need to be passing out this close to graduation!

Don’t drink and drive: Safety first, always.

*Finally don’t forget to buy your prom tickets during lunch this week for 40.00 dollars. Last day to buy tickets is Friday at 1:30 P.M.*

Remember, prom is about having fun and making memories. Keep it light and enjoy your night!
