FBLA is a club at our school that works diligently in national business education and careers. The club works hard to set an example for their fellow students in business.
They went to their State competition on April 13 at Missouri State University.
Sophomore Tracy Do was one of the State participants. She won first place in her event in Coding and Programming.
“I coded a program that allows students to track their personal finances and give them summaries on their income and expenses patterns,” Do said.
Her quality at State work led her to individually qualify for Nationals, along with juniors Evolet Pizzaro Reyes, Cy Griffith, and Jude Riemenschneider.
This year’s Nationals will be held in Anaheim, California from June 29 to July 2.
Though not everyone qualified at State to go to Nationals this year, they still showed an impressive amount of skill and dedication.
Junior Jing Sun’s group placed in the top ten, which is an incredible feat for a State Competition.
“Our group did an event called digital animation and it’s basically creating a video introducing new students to Kickapoo, and we have to give a presentation to the judges at State about the process of how we created the video,” Sun said.
All participants worked incredibly hard in their team and individual events at their competitions and really showed out for our school. They represent just how hard you have to work as a successful future business leader and are paving the way for the new generation of FBLA.
With the winning streak that they’ve been on recently for just their spring season, we can expect to see some big accomplishments for their time at Nationals over the summer.
We wish our FBLA students good luck as they go on to California to represent our school with pride at Nationals.
