State Bound!
The Kickapoo Chiefs clubs have been skyrocketing in competition the past few weeks. DECA, FCCLA, and FBLA have taken their district competitions by storm and are now competing in state competitions in the next few weeks. All three clubs have been working since the beginning of the school year to strive for greatness in the spring.
DECA competed in their district competition in February and had found success. DECA had 10 state qualifiers and is taking 6 of their members to represent Kickapoo. State competition is in Kansas City over spring break and then nationals are in Atlanta, Georgia at the end of April.
FBLA is hoping to bring back even more awards to Kickapoo while they are at state. During districts in February 35 students advanced to state which is in Kansas City in April. FBLA has been working hard in Wooderson’s room to prepare for state competition and to bring back some gold to Kickapoo.
FCCLA has its state competition coming up after spring break in Lake of the Ozarks. In their club of around 40, they had two duo teams qualify for state. To make it to state, FCCLA competes in a Region 10 Star competition. They hope to do well at state and make it to nationals which are in San Diego.
Each club is hopeful and excited to have so many club members advancing to state. Kickapoo hopes that they bring back even more awards than they started with and we are so excited to watch all of their success. Good luck to DECA, FBLA, and FCCLA as they work towards their journey to state and nationals!
