Opting for a stay-cation this Spring Break? Well, whether you’re spending this spring break bored on the couch or stuck in an airport, here are five TV shows to binge watch!

Ginny and Georgia (Netflix):

Think of it as Gilmore Girls with a little more family drama and a lot more scandals. The series follows the Miller family, Georgia, Ginny, and Austin. Georgia and Ginny’s bond is one that is nearly unbreakable, but as Ginny learns more about her mom’s past and begins to navigate the confusing chaos of her high school years, their relationship is put on the rocks. The show only has two seasons right now and there have not been talks of a third season but the second you watch the season two finale you’ll be hoping for one just like the rest of us. This show always has something new happening or a storyline that has yet to be closed making it the perfect option for a spring break marathon.

The Summer I Turned Pretty (Amazon Prime):

If you, like many of us, are missing the warm weather and dreaming of sunshine and beaches, this is the perfect show for you. This show (based on the book series by Jenny Han) follows the ever complicated lives and love triangle of Belly, Conrad, and Jeremiah. As Belly spends the summer with her mom and brother at the boy’s beachside home, she will get swept up in a world of sunshine, parties, and so many firsts that it’s easy to get lost. The show only has one season right now but season two has finished filming and is expected to come out sometime this spring or summer. This show’s drama-filled episodes will have you hooked from the very beginning and keep a hold of your attention to the very end.

Anne with an E (Netflix):

Based (roughly) on the book series by Lucy Montgomery, Anne with an E follows Anne Shirley, a 13-year-old girl who spent her childhood jumping from orphanage to orphanage in search of a family. Taking place in the late 1890s the movie starts with Anne being adopted by the Cuthbert siblings, an elderly sister and brother who were looking to adopt a young boy to assist with the tasks of maintaining their property. However, much to their surprise, they meet Anne. The series follows Anne as she begins to navigate her new family and town while also experiencing all the confusing emotions and experiences that come with growing up. This series consists of three seasons and follows Anne from her adoption up until she leaves for college. This show will remind you of the joy of simplicity and take you back in time with the characters. This one is a bit longer and a lot less action-packed but really is a great show with an amazing storyline.

Emily in Paris (Netflix):

Emily Cooper, a twenty-something marketing executive, is unexpectedly asked to move to Paris and work with a French marketing agency. With her knowledge of the French language and culture non-existent, she moves from Chicago to take on the City of Love. While her contract is only supposed to last a year, she begins to question if she even wants to return to the states. The friends she makes, work she does, and romances that form along the way make her question everything she once knew. The series is three seasons long with a fourth one on the way. The drama (both in the marketing world and Emily’s life) will have you locked in from episode one and keep you entranced all the way through the end of season three. If you’re spending this spring break dreaming of leaving Springfield and exploring the world, Emily in Paris is the perfect show to transport you to one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
