Since the fall seasons are here pumpkin spice drinks are becoming a morning staple! My favorite of which is pumpkin Chai. While there are a variety of cafe’s and restaurants to choose from, there are a few that stand out among the rest.
Starbucks
- Cost – $6.50
- Level of Pumpkin spice – 3.75/5
- Size – 16 fl oz.
- Overall Rating 🎃🎃🎃 (⅗ pumpkins)
My experience at Starbucks went relatively smoothly. I was greeted by the worker and asked to wait for just a moment, which wasn’t a big deal. I ordered my drink with no request from the barista to make an up-charge upgrade to a larger size which I greatly appreciated. There were three cars ahead of me in line but despite this I made it to the first window in around two minutes. After making it to the drink window I was greeted by a friendly worker with a big smile. I had my pumpkin chai and was out of the parking lot in around six minutes total. Though Starbucks is the priciest of all the drinks it is still a staple of fall for me.
Dunkin Donuts
- Cost – $5.80
- Level of Pumpkin spice – 4.8/5
- Size – 16 fl oz.
- Overall Rating – 🎃🎃🎃 (⅗ Pumpkins)
My trip to Dunkin Donuts was a mediocre experience. I had high hopes as I drove into the parking lot thinking that it would be speedy since I was the only person there. However when I pulled up to the speaker to order, I was immediately asked if I would like to try a large hot pumpkin spice latte (one of their most expensive menu items). After politely declining, I waited for about two minutes before a real person started speaking. I ordered my drink and then pulled up to the window. While at the window I could see my drink already made on the counter, however, this did nothing to speed up their process. After about a minute of waiting I finally paid and was handed my drink. While I was less than impressed by the service, the drink and price almost made up for it.
7Brew
- Cost – $5.85
- Level of Pumpkin Spice – 2.95/5
- Size – 16 fl oz.
- Overall Rating – 🎃🎃🎃🎃
(4/5 Pumpkins)
7Brew has become a staple coffee place in Springfield. However, is it really worth the hype? Yes. When I pulled into the drive through I joined the line of around five other vehicles. After only seconds of waiting I was greeted by a real person to take my order. 7Brew’s motto is Cultivate Kindness and their worker’s attitudes definitely reflect that! I only waited in line for around seven minutes. However the chai tasted very watered down and the pumpkin flavor wasn’t near as apparent as their competition.
Scooters
- Cost – $6.59
- Level of Pumpkin spice – 3.7/5
- Size – 16 fl oz.
- Overall Rating – 🎃🎃 (⅖ pumpkins)
This was my first experience with Scooters, and it wasn’t awful. I will admit that the price initially threw me off. I was shocked that a 16 oz drink was almost seven dollars. However it tasted pretty good! The workers were kind and the service was great. On top of all of that, Scooters is the only place that automatically adds whipped cream to your drink without an upcharge!
In conclusion, 7Brew takes the cake! Or in this case the chai. With their low prices, insanely kind workers, and tasty beverages, they are definitely the best place to hit for your morning coffee run!
