Spring Sports: Seniors Favorite Memories

With seniors leaving right around the corner and spring sports in full action, it’s time to look back on a few student athletes favorite memory.

Baseball- Noah Wilkenson

Question- What is your favorite memory of playing baseball for Kickapoo?

Answer- “My favorite memory is when Cross pitched for the first time after coming back from battling cancer for the second time. That was really special to see.”

Question- What are you going to miss the most about your sport?

Answer- “I’m going to miss the friendships I made. All the players are super close on the team and we help each other out not only on the field, but off the field as well.”

Question- Do you have any future plans of playing baseball?

Answer- “I will be playing baseball for Fort Scott Community College.”

Boys Tennis- Patrick Terry

Question- What is your favorite memory of playing golf for Kickapoo?

Answer- “Would have to be winning the team district last year.”

Question- What are you going to miss the most about your sport?

Answer- “I’ll miss the memories made with the opponents on the other side of the court.”

Question- Do you have any future plans of playing tennis?

Answer- “I will be playing tennis at William Jewell College starting next year.”

Girls Soccer- Brooke Turner

Question- What is your favorite memory of playing soccer for Kickapoo?

Answer- “It would probably be my freshman year during the district final game against Ozark, when I was man marking the other team’s lead scorer. Another memorable moment would be looking back and seeing Karli Facklam as the keeper this year,”

Question- What are you going to miss the most about your sport?

Answer- “I am going to miss all the teammates and our funny jokes the most.”

Question- Do you have any future plans of playing soccer?

Answer- “Yes, I am going to play soccer for Evangel University.”
