Q: Why did you join Baseball?
A: “I have always had a passion since I was young,” sophomore Blake Sinn said.
A: “I joined baseball because I was on a team called The Royals that Blake’s dad made,” freshman Brody Rowell said.
A: “My parents got me into it and I’ve been playing since I was four and loved it ever since,” sophomore Nicholas McClean said.
Q: If your sport had a mascot, what would it be?
A: “A golden retriever, because they always look at the positive,” Rowell said.
A: “Boston terrier, because that’s what my dog’s breed is and I love him more than anything,” Sinn said.
A: “It would be a chihuahua, because they have a fierce competitive attitude,” McClean said.
Girls Wrestling

Q: Why did you join Wrestling?
A: “I joined the wrestling staff to bond with teammates and to try something new,” freshman Samantha McCrimmons said.
A: “I joined to try something new and to join a new family at school,” senior Lyndsey Young said.
A: “I joined wrestling because my brother did it and I wanted to follow him,” sophomore Arianna Harris said.
Q: If your sport had a mascot, what would it be?
A: “It would be a monkey because they are hands-on, like wrestling,” McCrimmons said.
A: “It would be a tiger because they are fierce and the king of their area,” Young said.
A: “It would be Subway because the whole team ate it at our first match and all ended up throwing up,” Harris said.
Boys Wrestling

Q: Why did you join Wrestling?
A: “My dad did it and said it would be really fun to try out,” freshman Jaxx Llewellyn said.
A: “My football coach recommended me in seventh grade and it’s a really fun sport,” freshman Jack Ponder said.
Q: If your sport had a mascot, what would it be?
A: “It would be a monkey in a singlet because they’re hands on,” Llewellyn said.
A: “A cougar with full wrestling gear,” Ponder said.
Cheer

Q: Why did you join Cheer?
A: “I had done dance and wanted to get involved in school and they didn’t have a dance team at Cherokee so I joined cheer and it stuck,” junior Ericka Bryant said.
A: “I did cheer my whole life and enjoyed it so I continued to do it,” sophomore Aubrie Hilton said.
Q: If your sport had a mascot, what would it be?
A: “It would be a hippopotamus, because they look cute but are really scary,” Bryant said.
A: “A wiener dog because they are adorable and tiny,” Hilton said.
